Transpenine Rail track

 

Work was carried out on the transpenine rail track to incorporate a service area unit and train wash unit for the line. All parties entered an agreement to try to shorten the length of time spent on the site making the job more economical for the main contractors. This was done by the “Lean Construction” process and a 20% time saving was achieved. The project started in June and was completed by the end of September.
